hi does anyone have any idea what this is please, on left hand side below the crank sensor, the wiring to it comes from the battery side (and looks a little bodged on the way too), cant quite figure it out, cheers edit: its a standard 1996 916, so not P8 ECU
duh, of course it is! thanks, for some reason i jsut went blank when looking at the other side of the loom, there's no plug on it, someone has hardwired it straight into the loom. i was wondering how the f'k to get the loom off...answer: cut and replace plug!
