I stupidly broke the original carbon front mudguard on my SP3 (forgot disc lock was in!). Can anyone recommend a firm that provides a high quality replacement (1996 916 SP3) before I randomly pick a supplier? Many thanks. Kev.
possibly an 848 will fit, difintely fits my 998, just the brake line clip position is not there on the 848 (998 has recess where a clip fits to take the brake line that goes over the top of it)
Try Febur. Got mine from them and quality was spot on. Don’t go through their www page though, send an email direct as they are cash happy!
Depending on the damage, it may be worth trying to find someone to repair it for you. I made the same mistake, my mate fixed it and it would take a keen eye to spot the repair.

Trying to keep it as original as possible, frustrating as I have had the bike from new (22 years) so don't ant any think to leap out as different. Will likely end up trying a few options... Cheers. K

Might sound a stupid comment but have you phoned around dealers to see if they have any new old stock, you might be surprised.
