This is from a 750SS and is identical to 900SS and 600SS frames. This frame was crashed and repaired way back in the 1990s and still shows evidence of this on the frame tubes around the headstock. I'd been riding it for 2 years before I spotted the repaired tubes and the handling was always spot-on, so the geometry must be okay. The welded repairs are visible and one or two of those tubes close to the head tube do not look quite as straight as they should, but it's lasted 20 years or more and no cracks have appeared. I was going to get those tubes around the headstock replaced by an expert welder, but in the meantime I came across an excellent frame from a 900SS at a good price so bought that and fitted it instead, so my old frame is surplus to requirements. Not sure if this frame is any use to anyone on here but it does have a registration document and if you are a proficient welder it could be tidied up, or perhaps built into a cafe racer without having the guilt issues of cutting up a pristine frame. Or mount it on the wall of the living room or the man cave and call it art? I don't want much for it as it does need specialist work to make it perfect again.
