Hi All, I am unfamiliar with the 12v power outlet standard on the front rhs. Is there an adapter available to convert it to a 5v USB to plug into my smart phone? Thank-you Richard
The 950 is similar to the 1260 Mutley. There's not a lot of clearance between the socket and the bars/cables as you move lock to lock. Most Hella to USB adapters will foul these as they project straight out from the socket, especially once a cable is plugged in. Maybe one of these would do the trick? The alternative is to connect to the back of the Hella socket and have something like this on the black inner panel to the left. Of course you'd need to drill a hole in the panel to do this. Another alternative, if you use a tank-bag, is the Givi S111 Electrical Hub Kit, you'd need to change the DC connector on the curly cable for a male DIN plug. I have this set-up and it works well although my hub doesn't supply much amperage, the one linked to looks like it's an upgraded version with 2.2A. I suspect mine, bought in 2016, is only 1000-500mA. The right angled plug hooks neatly behind the rim of the spring loaded cover over the bike's socket, which makes it more secure.
Just an update. I've bought the Ultimate Addons Hella - usb and it clears the bars nicely. Thanks to all. Richard
