Hello All I've got one of the original 50 or so 955 SPs, totally original and unraced. Is there anybody else out there with one, or knows how many are left in the UK? I've got a mate who's also got one, although it was heavily modified by Pro Twins in the late '90's. Seems 916's are becoming a rare site on the roads in general!!!
Just picked up mine from a service and MOT yesterday. I've just had it recommissioned and as much as i know it deserves to be centre stage in my living room, it deserves to be ridden (and my wife might have something to say!!) I've forgotten how well it goes; I've got a standard 916 sp3 and this has noticeably more clout. It's fully standard apart from the 955 stickers which were added I think when the bike was sold through HT Automotive when it was re-imported back from the States early in its life. Not sure about the mirrors? It's only showing 12000 km. Regards, Doug
