I am selling the complete kit to change a Euro4 959 into the beauty it should have been. Kit includes: - US959 muffler/exhaust - US959/1299 connecting Y-piece - US959 flapper valve servo (flapper moves, so if you want to keep it working you will need this (I just disconnected)) - Genuine Ducati lower fairings in Red You will know it cost me about £700 to collect this all together myself, but the fairings and exhaust have been used for 2000 miles now and are not abdolutely mint, so just looking for £550 collected from weybridge (contact me about postage, but I'm guessing about £25 should get them most places in the UK). These measured 103dB at Bedford, and I have attended trackdays at Donnington and Silverstone GP this year without any problems (they are OE Ducati ). They are being sold because the bike has been put back to its ugly standard Euro4 trim as it has been sold.
Ah ha! Another one proving KR Snr right when he said "there's no replacement for displacement". GLWS.
More to do with ohlins, lighter wheels, and much cleverer electronics. That added to the fact I get 50bhp thrown in for good measure. The upgrade hasn't cost more than putting ohlins shock/forks/steering damper and a set of marchesinis on the 959.... I believe they call that a no brainer.
Hi I have just fitted the above mods,my error light is on as i disconnected valve cable did this happen with yours.
Yes. You need to have the error removed. If you disconnect the cable that pulls the valve and put a spring on it to make it think the valve is on the end of it you can fool it into thinking it is working.
Questions about this are probably better here: http://ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/euro-4-exhaust-swap.43125/ However, what your local specialist charges you is really depend and upon your relationship and if they are already doing any work for you. It didn't cost me anything, but I would expect to normally be charged half an hours work for them to be bothered with it.
There are no words! Feels familiar after the 959, but turns sharper, accelerates harder, rides smoother, and fortunately stops pretty well too! It is a grin inducing, angry, beast, and I love it!! (I even had to ride it in the rain today, and it was perfectly well behaved).
