Not seen it but at 15k and 16k.... ouch!!!! Would be cool if it was a proper 'evo' so had upgraded shock and autoblipper etc Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah, which is I imagine why it's not been published in the mags etc. What I find odd is that they have limited it to 25, yet its just a 959 with some accessory oarts Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ducatiuk.com home page scroll up! Too many of these special editions will just make the brand cheep...
Ah, it's a Ducati UK clearance of the old models they have in stock - they did it with the AirWaves 749 / 999 in very similar numbers. Even though they are rare, they are worth no more than normal bikes - maybe due to them not being official factory bikes - could have been due to the pish paint job.
Ducati - Ducati Performance 959 Panigale Special Edition "The 959 Panigale Special Edition comes with the Akrapovic titanium racing silencer exhaust system, as well as components made from carbon fibre and billet aluminium. A limited number of 25 bikes will be offered to customers in the UK market only, with each bike being individually numbered by laser etching the steering head and accessorised to truly unleash the full potential of the 959 Panigale. This limited-edition bike is available in two forms, the Ducati Performance option and with the addition of the carbon pack. The Ducati Performance option comes with the titanium Akrapovic under-engine racing silencer exhaust system and lower fairings, a billet race tank filler cap, racing articulated levers, brake lever protection, a plastic seat cowl and Ducati Corse oversized screen. Additionally, you can have the carbon pack which comes with a carbon ignition switch cover, carbon shock cover, carbon heel guards, carbon and alloy tail tidy, carbon front sprocket cover, billet aluminium handlebar weights, carbon fuel tank protector, carbon shark-fin chain guard and carbon rear mudguard."
So the normal price is £13,387.00 and they want £16,995. £3,608 difference. Do they think we're MAD???? Probably are! but will be sticking to my 1199s
The Akra silencers are £2,775 of that, so I would assume the other bits add up to another £900 or so... Ducati Aylesbury basically already have one that I guess they did themselves.....
Yawn. It's just money for old rope! Basically it's a standard 959 with exhaust system and a few bits of carbon. A 959 costing £16995 is called a 1299!!
Ducati Performance Option Titanium racing silencer kit Lower fairings Billet race filler cap Racing articulated levers Brake lever protection Plastic seat cowl Ducati Corse oversized screen + Carbon Pack Carbon ignition switch cover Carbon Shock cover Carbon fibre heel guards Carbon and alloy tail tidy Carbon front sprocket cover Billet aluminium handlebar weights Carbon fuel tank protector Carbon shark fin chain guard Carbon Rear Mudguard The price of the 959 Special Edition with the Ducati Performance option is £15,995 the addition of the carbon pack sets the retail price at £16,995. Limited production of 25 ONLY.
My mate bought a 959 and got akra under belly pipe kit for £1400 so a fair bit cheaper than this! Well, good luck to them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I did my 959 with all the parts listed on the carbon except the screen, levers and tail tidy. Also mine 'only' has 1299 underbelly exhaust not akrapovic but the bike owes me under £14 grand including MCT shock and ohlins steering damper 17 grand is mental. Lotus do the same and make parts bin special editions and It just pisses off owners.
You would think the dealers know this, but they carry on trying to extract every penny. Only one winner here! Now if it had an Aruba.it paint job it would be an other matter
