So i am on my second fuel sender unit, and this one is now erratic when it decides to work. All the electrics and connections are good. Is there a viable alternative that people have found to sourcing a 2nd hand one or shelling out for a new one at Ducati prices?
Hi Might be worth you contacting Ducati John near Leeds. Look him up on the net and use the mobile number, the other listed is his home number! Has sourced used parts for me in the past and saved me a bit, also sound guy and is always willing to give advice. Rob
They are not very reliable at all, my 998 had a faulty sender from new that left me stranded when I completely ran out of fuel when I first had it. There is no alternative and I would not go for a used one as that could go any time. It's one of the few parts that it is not worth trying to save on and if a new one did go then at least you might have some comeback on the dealer who sold it to you. I agree about Ducati John, I found him very helpful when he rebuilt my 748R engine. He will give you good advice.
