Hi Looking for a performance chip for my Biposto 996 (1999) Not much money in the pot so i can't afford for JHP to run the bike on the dyno etc so looking for a compromise. Std bike fitted with std air filters and Mircon end cans.
I might have one ..... I'll have a dig about , I think it's a jhp ? But it'll be for a 50mm system so you might need it flashing and rejigged to suit
Hi Duke It would be good if you have one knocking around. The end cans are straight through cans so it might be ok. John at JHP recommended a chip and two hours on the dyno so £150 + VAT a fair price in todays world, but a lot if you have not got it.
Hi found some data of another website. (ducati up north) My (1999)996 has 45mm pipes and the end cans 50mm diameter. so maybe its the 965015AAA or the chip you have found. Not sure what changes were made to the 996s. i thought the s usually means Oilins suspension. 96502394C - 916 Monoposto '94, silencers Racing 965013AAA - 916 Biposto silencers Racing 965015AAA - 996 Racing silencers 965014AAA - 748 Twin-seat silencers Racing 965024AAA - 748R Silencers Racing 96502694C - 916 Monoposto '94, silencers Ø 50 965027AAA - 916 Biposto silencers Ø 50 965025AAA - 996 Silencers Ø 50 96506501B - 996S Silencers Racing Ø 50 965028AAA - 748 Biposto silencers Ø 50 965029AAA - 748SPS Silencers Ø 50 965030AAA - 748R Silencers Ø 50 965031AAA - 996 Complete assembly Ø 50 965032AAA - 996SPS/916SPS Complete assembly Ø 50 96503394C - 916 Monoposto '94, complete assembly Ø 50 96503494C - 916 Biposto complete assembly Ø 50 965035AAA - 916SP Complete assembly Ø 50 965036AAA - 748 Biposto complete assembly Ø 50 965044AAA - 748SPS Complete assembly Ø 50 965037AAA - 748R Complete assembly Ø 50 965038AAA - 996 Complete assembly Ø 52 965039AAA - 996SPS/916SPS Complete assembly Ø 52 965040AAA - 916 Biposto complete assembly Ø 52 965035AAA - 916 SP Complete assembly Ø 52
The s has a full 50mm system as standard plus the sps engine .... I have the pipe work from the original system and two sets of original 50mm cans (1 polished) if your interested , less the down pipes ( behind the foot peg bit ) and the header connection but I think you'll find these on fleabay
Hi Duke So it is likely the ECU could be different to accomondate the SPS engine so that's why there is so many variations.
