998 Clutch Basket?

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Wooly46, Dec 19, 2018.

  1. Thinking of replacing the basket on my 998 and wondered if there are any recommendations for make etc. What plates would you use etc?
    Cheers

  2. Get a 48tooth one and friction plates

  3. Any recommendations of what brand and what’s the benefit of the 48tooth pal? Cheers

  4. Less wear less noise smoother
STM 48 tooth baske and frictions

  5. What Andy said. No downsides tbh, even the cost is comparable. EVR and Sigma are also worthy options.

  6. Will my Ducati performance pressure plate still fit or would I need one to fit the stm 48t?

  7. This look ok guys? Price wise? Cheers

  8. It'll work with all the original parts. You can always switch out the hub at a later date for a slipper unit and that'd work fine to.
There's the EVR units on flea bay from Addiction Motorsports for £350.

  9. What’s the thinking around organic plates pal? Great price that!

  10. I got sintered last time. They’re supposed to be fast road/ track and harder wearing. I had no issues with normal riding. ( i don’t track day)
Whereas organic are more street. I just thought i’d try them out if curiosity.
I only really needed a new drum as it had got notched. But at that price for drum and plates....

  11. Yeh mine is the same, notched. Ideally wanted a red drum but as you say for that price!!!!!

  12. try WRS in san marino...
