The 2002 998's been around for 14 years now, so most owners may be dab-hands at understanding their bikes suspension. However, I hope the following can be useful to anyone looking to adjust their suspension setup. The info includes "2002 998 Stock settings, and "Suggestions" from a couple of SPORT BIKE Magazine Test Riders. Info has been compiled from great threads such as http://ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/998-suspension-set-up.37913/ from @Cream_Revenge . And Suggested Sport Bike Motorcycle Suspension Settings | Sport Rider and the 2002 Owners Manual. Just a bit easier format to view and compare. Please find in PDF and JPG formats. Cheers, Al
Agree mate. It didnt say in that MCN article... Also their "STOCK SETTINGS" were quite different than what's listed in my 2002 owners manual. Was nice to see they added the riders weights into the article tho.... however it could be the whole thing was contrived from an Editor's "liquid lunch at the "fox and hound", and their number settings were just taken off a shoddy round of darts? Im due to change out tyres myself soon. What do you suggest? (Currently just chewed up some "Dunlop Sportmax Qualifier RR's")
I got the new Diablo Corsa 3 thingies last month and really like them. But I don't track the 996. M7RRs seem very popular.
