Can anyone help, I have a 998s Could someone post the stock set up from the manual, Guide for Ohlins front forks 998 final ed or R and Ohlins rear. My manual does not have the Final edition forks settings in only the S models. Now I have a 2003/2004 998S final Ed / R forks to put in. I believe my Ohlins rear shock is the same as the R model. Cream R sent me a good setup guide but this will probably be out the window now, does anyone have any improvements over base settings so I can try both. Thank you
The owners manual should list these settings as it certainly does for my 998 base model. You can download the manuals from the Ducati website. Or at least you could when I last checked.
My red owners hand book says 998s on the front. The illustrations look like Showa forks. They do not have the settings for two sets of forks. So I assume it is Showa Only. I have got the 998s FE/R Ohlins forks for my bike so I'd like the setup for the 998S FE/R. I've not had time to compare the forks but I'd guess they work a little different inturnals etc.. I will look to download the 998s FE setup guide and the 998R if that is possible. If it is not available I will have a look on Fleabay for a manual.
From the FE owners manual. Front Comp damp 10 clicks out Rebound damp 12 clicks out Preload 10mm Rear Comp and rebound damping 14 clicks out ride height adj not to exceed 261mm form eye centres.
