I’m due to take the bike for an MOT tomorrow and noticed this pipe hanging below the belly pan dragging on the floor. Took the fairing off and it’s detached from somewhere. My thoughts are a breather pipe but not sure . I know it’s probably something obvious but could someone help me out ? Thanks
Thanks chaps. I hope I can lift the petrol tank and feed it through….. don’t fancy riding it unconnected.
Very easy to lift the fuel tank on these, without having to disconnect anything underneath. All it takes is removing the saddle, one screw (at the rear of the tank) and a piece of wood to rest the rear of the tank on while you slip your hands underneath to reconnect the breather/overflow hose (#24 on the diagram below). It’s a 10 minutes thing, if you know what you’re doing and nothing is broken or missing underneath (#21,22.23).
@RickyX you were right , fuel breather hoes, it connected underneath the tank. All is good and hope the old girl passes today. Thanks again for the comments guys.
@Guillaume69 Yes I did this in a round about way last night but took me about two hours . That explanation drawing makes it so much clearer . Thank you.
Well, it took me two hours as well the first time, being very cautious and somewhat a bit stressed… But once you have removed the tank a couple times, it becomes much easier. It was designed to be quick and simple.
