Toying with the idea of breaking the bike but i'd probably sell the conversion as a kit Kit 1098 motor blueprinted, lightened flywheel - new sprag clutch last year, belts and shimmed up at the same time - DP slipper clutch, open clutch cover, upgraded clutch slave cylinder Nemesis ECU - loom Modified tank Airtubes 1098 Throttlebodies and 1098 airbox comp with shower injectors 54 mil termignoni system basically bolt to your bike and smoke off into the distance. Answers on a postcard so to speak....
Yup bike is on ebay currently - just toying with the idea of breaking it. Have a think what it's worth to you?
Looks like he's offering what ever you need, as a full drop yours chuck this in package. Make up a number ;-)
AS per original post - all you need for a conversion - please be realistic though engines alone make 1600 quid without a clutch , this one has a slipper upgraded gear box (forgot all about that) and all the kit to go with it. I'm not looking to add the singular part prices and expect that, but of the same token i really don't fancy a rear entry either. :-D
Okay so ill list the singular parts up as if i were to sell them seperately: Motor £1750 with throttle bodies and 1098 airbox and custom airtubes (large) DP Slipper £400 Nemesis ECU (2 maps already installed) comp with loom £350 Termignoni 54 mil system modded on rear manifold to fit 999 chassis £700 Modified 999 tank to suit 1098 airbox (custom made floor professionally welded in to the base) £200 As a guide only not for sale other than the kit format. 07933593888 if you want to talk about money for a kit deal. Also where can you buy another? all hard work is done.
I have seen it on ebay, what a shame to break it. No matter which way you look at it it is a bitza and in Ducati world they seem to be a bit unloved. Id have it in a heart beat as I love shit like that. Swap you for mine
Bitza? Lol she's no copy.. And I don't subscribe to the pompous Ducati brigade and the living room ornaments scenario either. I really don't want to break the bike but the volume of dreamers is quite unrivalled on this. They all make you an offer and then back peddle when you agree a price. I think they just fancy going down the wine bar for a spritzer and talk as if they are buying one
if I had a couple of grand laying round I'd be tempted to make an offer on the motor etc to stick in my 848...not that I NEED more power ;0)
