749 999 Engine "upgrade"

  1. Just toying with the idea of fitting a 999 engine in my 749 (2005) track bike. Anyone done this ? Guess I'd need a 999 ECU but anything else needs changing ? - Chain/Sprockets ??
    Is the 749 exhaust, throttle bodies and airbox interchangable with the 999 engine ?

    Any other considerations ?

  2. Joelipol has done it mate. I quite fancy it too when funds permit. Bit of a luxury for me.

  4. The ECU is the same, just needs reflashing with the correct fueling map.

  5. Straight swap although I don't know if the injectors are different

  6. Straight swap, change nothing, just get ChrisW to reflash the ECU.
