999 Exhaust

  1. I'm gonna try and fit the full system I have to my bike.

Any pointers or tips for a limited spanner wielder in removing and fitting the entire exhaust?

If anyone has done this before and can provide a bit of a guide that would be great.

  2. If the original has been on there a while it might be worth giving the header nuts a dose of wd40 in advance.
Fit everything loosely, don't tighten anything up until it's all fitted and be gentle with the gaskets. I found that fitting them to the male end of any joint before sliding it home made it easy to keep them in place.
Oh and good luck with the super slim head of the bolt under the seat. :)

Or can I do it an easier way...

  9. Hi,

Half System on... It sounds the nuts ;), That's how a 749 should sound.. pretty straight forward & I'm no mechanic... only slight issue I had was lining up the termi can to frame holes... but nothing a gentle nudge didn't sort out...

Very Happy over all, No I've got to ride the thing... hoping to pop out this weekend for a grin ride :)
