Hello There, I am looking for a glasfibre single seat for an 999. I have attached an picture. I am looking for the RS style 999 seat. Maybe anybody knows were these are being manufactured and sold. I can find the expensive carbon fibre ones, but the economic crisis has also stroke into my wallet.... Thanks for your effort
ah, I was going to say I know where there's a carbon one : ) Maybe it's not too expensive. I can ask for you?
Yes that would be great. i am using the original seat at the moment. But I like the looks of the RS seat especially with the oval exhaust end can
I know you need an RS seat paddle that goes with the RS seat fairing. I don't have both. I did have them but I sold it. And regret it know. I have seen RS style seats that goes with standard seat paddle. See pic.
if money does matter, think twice to go down the RS path.... only major wallet hammoredging down that road! I contemplated it for a brief moment but restrained from it... believe this part the the least expensive part of RS glory... and also think that RS parts are very difficult in resale... if you need them theu're impossible to find but if you're selling, nobody wants them... i have a carbon RS heat shield and long leg front fender lying around... fyi : BURSI in italy has a load of this stuff... enjoy, i'll be watching with great interest. grtz Koen
I bought an RS seat unit years ago and you end up cutting that much away trying to get it to GTI on the stock subframe it just doesn't work, remember the ace bikes had different subframes so I would just buy a road single seat unti if I was you
Not the little RS Jon. You need a couple of dzus mounts and you need to drill the fairing carefully, but it's achievable. The seat.pad is a different matter rho
I can adjust the alloy rear sub frame with dzus mounts just like the 749rs. that is no problem. I have seen the parts on bursi. very nice but also an nice price. I will have to buy an expensive 999rs seat paddle but would like to reduce the costs with the rear seat tail in glas fibre. I will try hotbodies in USA and I have seen one in glasfibre on ebay italy last night...
I saw that the brackets are also for sale at Bursi see pic. I will make some by myself wenn I get my hands on a Rs seat...
