  2. The whole assembly or just the cable? Because if just the cable, it would be easy enough to make it.

  3. Just the cable mate ........ you up for some electrickery work ???

  4. Is that your actual cable or just a stock image?

Asking because obviously the cable needs making to the correct length and running through the tube before fitting the the connectors (although you may be able to pass the wire with pins on it through before inserting them into the connector?).

As for making it, the wire/cable is no problem, neither is the black connector/pins as I've got those in the workshop, the only thing I'd need to find out about is the grey/orange connector on the other end as it's one I'm not familiar with.

But I assume they are commercially available and it has removable pin terminals which could be replaced? unless the actual housing is damaged then you'd need a new connector but again, assuming easy to find, shouldn't cost too much.

  5. If the problem is where that red connector block is , couldn't you just solder the wire and fit some shrink wrap?

  6. If that's a pic of his cable and the only problem is the 'Scotchlok' (they're shite so it probably is) then I'd cut it off, connect (solder) a new length of wire to the old wire and pull it through to the other end. Then, using the new wire fit a new pin to each end and insert them into the connectors - basically just replace the one wire.

If, for some reason the grey plug pins are tricky to source or to remove/fit? then I'd make a soldered joint to the existing wire, insulated with heatshrink, pull the joint back to sit somewhere inside the tube (rather than exposed to the elements) and fit a new pin to the black plug end.

Shouldn't take more than a few minutes, I'd be happy to do it for the OP if he wants to send/bring it over.

  7. Let me check my box of spares. I may have the grey connector taken off a damaged loom. Will be tomorrow.
