Hi All currently waiting for my insurance payout from when I was knocked off my r1200gs on 14th January. I’m currently debating between 916/996/998 or 999. Im just wondering what you more knowledgeable people think of this bike and the write up about it? http://www.thebikespecialists.com/v...heffield-89527adf-15ae-413a-b25c-c635f559ff1b thanks in advance Jon
Is this one worth the extra http://www.thebikespecialists.com/v...heffield-c7744e17-932c-4d3f-a3c4-a01c72f5ea1c
https://www.bikeiconics.com/ Get in touch with Ollie at these guys; I dropped mine off there yesterday and it is currently being prepped for proper photos!
Yes, but it's not a 2005 model - at least the fairing isn't ask for the build date off the plaque out of interest The cheaper one doesn't even have it's original engine so fek knows what it's true history is
I also have an S in the same condition which will be with them in time for the season if you want to save a few bob!
From the description there is a key missing, I wonder which colour and no mention of the plaque if the old belts are a selling point
Thanks for all of your input it is much appreciated and I am slightly in awe at your abilities to just look at something and spot the differences
Imho, if you want to ride it, go for an S, for lower maintenance costs, less fragility and lower initial cost. If you want to just invest or for bragging rights, by all means go for an R.
Thanks, she’s a beauty all right. A bit of bling since that pic (c/f, Gilles adjusters etc.) but one of the sweetest bikes I own. I’m very unlikely to sell it except for absolutely top $!
