Just to say to you guys having done some work over the winter the 999 was difficult to start I have done the battery and the regulator as it cooked the battery Difficult starting was down to the poor negative as others have said I put a separate 6.mm cable to the engine and started immediately I also crimped the original with 25mm crimping pliers The stranded cable connection is poor and after it being moved a few times creates a high resistance now starts perfect Thanks for the info I have had this before on my TL 1000 to be fair it was corroded under the frame at the connection looks like a common problem
Matt, see this https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threa...-belt-2v-coil-kit-link-forum-discounts.36761/ They are essential, I am not on commission, you get them 15% cheaper if you are a subscriber and lose the irritating adds and get a Halfords Trade card if you ask nicely
Is this the negative terminal on the battery connection. Mine is corroded and whilst it starts fine it looks like future trouble. Can you send a picture? Thanks
