How about Ducati UK initiate a UK and then a world wide vote on what the ducatisti want? Your eligability for the vote would be say your last few digits of your bikes chassis number and the type of bike it is, if these marry up then you get access to the questions. They could ask what we think of engine options, chassis options, model range ............lets say no more than 10 questions.......id answer honestly, the factory might then even take notice or at least look like they are taking notice of the customer then?
Before they were launched, how many Ducatisti would have said they wanted a Multistrada, or a Diavel? Customers don't know whether they want to buy something until it exists and is offered to them.
Good idea in principle Andy, oh for a simple stripped out lightweight air-cooled no fancy electrics thrash machine (read post modern 600/750/900 ss) with the right styling - about as much chance as growing tits
Customer surveys... hmmm... Two words - Ford Edsel ! A car designed entirely around customer surveys and focus groups, and Ford's biggest ever disaster. And I suspect that there are many Ducatisti like me who don't actually want a new bike, so are not really bothered what Ducati actually make now... ( Sorry, is that just me being selfish again ? )
Yes, but Ducati won't listen to my screams of "Get rid of all your bloody silly electrickery and digital dials and give me analog with character like you used to!"
