For the first couple of months i have been using bike for mostly commuting and the odd ride out with my wife on the back. Last night i met up with my uncle at the Hinton Arms on the A272 for dinner and got the chance to ride on some non motorway roads for a hour of so... that Meon Valley road and from the BMW garage to the Meon Hut (Loomies) and back across to Winchester.. Did around 100 miles last night there and back and really it was a delight, lots of bikes riding much quicker than my limited skills but a lovely warm evening sat in the garden till 9.30 when i left for home. Summer in this country can be a beautiful thing sometimes!
Did over 200miles around Wales, end of day covered 325miles still with around 50miles left in my tank on the multi-enduro. Although my bum was numb from nigh on 6-hours in the saddle! Much prefer the varied views in Wales to the bulk of the England.
Nice, i filled up yesterday morning on the way into the office. by the time i got home it was 120 Miles with around a quarter left although i am waiting for the fuel sender to be replaced so unsure... Agree with you that the views in wales are stunning but i am fortunate enough to live in a very pretty area of the UK (as long as i stay out of Southampton city) must remember to keep my clear visor in the top box, it was a little dark by the time i got home!
Have you ridden the road from Petworth to Chichester, past Goodwood on the way? One of my favourite short rides when I need to buy a loaf of bread.
After a day at work rode down to Loomis for a cuppa ,it was such a nice evening , so rode over to Petersjield ,then on to Petworth and the A285 TO Chichester ,one of my favourite roads ,and it was nearly traffic free ,just glorious ,over 150 miles .I am so glad the last owner put comfort seat on ,thanks whoever you are
