A few things to do at the next service, any suggestions?

  1. Multi is going in for the 1st Desmo service on Friday (15,000 miles).
I've also asked them to look at the steering lock which wasn't working... since which it has worked perfectly of course!

One other thing that's just started is a faint green light showing in the indicator area when the neutral light is on, and the neutral sometimes flickers. Any suggestions?

Any recent software or recall updates I need to be aware of?

  2. My suggestion: Get a quote as the rates vary tremendously. I got my 15K service done for £450 incl belts and shim check. With the high labour of this service it can make a big difference and you may get a better price in a few more weeks when the dealers workshops start to go quiet. Also worth travelling!

My instrument warning lights start to glow a little and the fuel indicator takes a few miles to show full but no big deal and not worth changing with all the associated aggro.

Make sure they check the cylinder heads (coolant corrosion problem) particularly if you see more condensation smoke at start up. If in doubt, checking the oil for coolant contamination and then a compression check will determine if you have a problem (probably not, but just in case!).

getting the engine set-up just right makes a world of difference, particularly the 3-4k hesitation. The air screws should be screwed all the way in then opened just a crack. Mine is now super smooth thanks to Motorapido.

    Hope all goes well.

  3. This is the issue with the clocks, it's starting doing it when I ride along as well, but not all the time. Grrrr I hate intermittent faults.

  4. Hi, oh dear seems you may be suffering with what should be covered by 'call backs'.
FYI I've had 5 call backs 2 of which were for software update on the steering lock as some customers wre complaining about steering locks staying on! and Dash change due to the lights 'bleeding' through into other indicators on the dash. Hope this helps. vj

  5. As reported else where on here dash light bleed is a common problem. My neutral light likes going on extended holidays and now my right indicator dash light is trying to impersonate the neutral light. New dash sitting in dealers ready for 22500 mile service when it will get swapped foc. Bike now 2 yrs and 5 months old. Dealer serviced from new.
Reading in MCN maybe the new Ducati CEO will be true to his word and start sorting out the poor quality and build of some of these components! Then again..................

  6. I think it will be several years before we see any benefit from the measures introduced today. But I do believe that with the backing of Audi things will continue to improve.
