Abba Sky Lift - Opinions

  1. Hi, thinking of one of these following back problems, should make cleaning/servicing a bit easier, any negatives? opinions?, looking to use on the hyper, with swing arm spindle mounts + additional kit to enable swing arm removal.
I know it's expensive but hey...

  2. How local are you to Warwickshire? I've a full abba stand set up to still unwrap. And a full max2h wheel changing kit due in a week or so. You'd be welcome over to see how things pan out for a few hours on the farm I live on.

I literally have just got over a terrible chest infection that cleared what I called a collapsed lung. My left lung wasn't producing oxygen though the hospital said it was working. Which was utter bullshit as I've had two-years of low physical exercise because I'd lose energy very quickly. My skin now is pink instead of white. From my amateurish knowledge I'd say it was filled with saliva as I've been coughing up loads this past two days & feeling much better day by day.

  3. They are cool, buy one  or a proper large hydraulic bike life which some prefer as you can get more messy with your tools...

  4. If you have the space, I'd go for a lift table.

Like this, along with added Hyper, just for you. :)

  5. Got my Skylift from M&P a while ago, on offer at the time for £380 inc fitting kit.

  6. I binned my hydraulic table lift for the Abba Skylift, never looked back. So versatile and easy to move the bike around the garage while it is raised.
Ordered mine at the NEC for £399 including kit for my Supersport and the wifes Monster.
Not found any disadvantages yet, but I will never need to remove the swinging arm.

  7. The only downside is that there isn't a bench on which to rest your tools but it's easy enough to knock something up if you want to do that.

Otherwise, it's easier to get the bike off the floor, you can move it around once it's in the air, the suspension has all the weight taken off it, the chain can be lubed more easily, bike height can be adjusted. It's a no brainier tbh. Buy it.

  8. Thread moved

  9. But you don’t need the space Rob! Vertical space is free space.... I lift my bike and stuff kit underneath it... :):upyeah:

  10. Go with the added footpedal rather than relying on the hand pump mechanism.

If you go for a package I think the pedal is included, maybe worth giving them a ring. Might throw it in with a purchase saving you £25.

  11. Thanks guys for your response, if I wasn't already decided I am now, the bench option I ok of you have a centre stand I guess, so I'll bite the bullet & order tomorrow, hopefully get it for the weekend.
