Abba Sky Lift

  1. I've just received my sky lift and wondering if they've sent the correct kit for my hyper sp, the adaptors fit over the swing arm bolts and don't seem the tightest fit TBH. I thought the adaptor would fill the swing arm recess? Anyone using one of these if so how do your adaptors fit?

  2. Photo?

  3. I have the abba superbike stand for my monster 796, assuming it's the same concept for the sky lift. I've just checked the fit and the adapter supplied is not what I call a tight fit but they are close to the outside diameter of the swingarm bolt heads so they are concentric and can't move around. But wouldn't stay in place if it weren't for the clamping force of the stand.

The whole assembly doesn't feel all that secure until it takes the weight of the bike then it's rock solid.

Just checked the website and it looks like a specialist kit for the hyper so not sure how it differs.

  4. Thanks for that, I've spoke to abba and they assured me they're the correct adaptors, the specialist kit makes the frame wider as the hyper has a wider swing arm so I was told when I ordered it

  5. I'm thinking of getting the superbike stand, do the adapters catch or mark any of the paint on the trelis frame when used.
This was the only thing putting me off getting one the other week

  6. The adaptors don't contact the frame, they attach to the swinging arm pivot. No danger to paintwork when in use, just a little care needed so as not to whack bodywork when fitting it.

  9. I need two more Abba stands now. Got too many bikes. If I'm going to wash one bike I may as well wash them all.
I can see why Exige keeps his in the dining room.

  10. It gives him something to talk to. :Jawdrop:
    I don't think it's a living room, just a posh shed.
