Looking at getting one of these good write ups I believe you have to remove the lower panels on the Panagale to use, anyone used one.
Not used it on a Pani, but on the Supersport 939 and the Monster 821. Love the thing to bits. It is so quick and easy to put the bike onto it and do things. Helps having a decent sized garage with a concrete floor.
I have a Abba skylift, use it on my 900ss ie and my 996, absolutely brilliant bit of kit, you just need the fitting kit for your specific bike.
Yep I have one. It can be a bit of a faff getting to some of the fixings when it's on the lift but nothing major
Another thumbs up here, works for all my bikes. Had an NC30 on mine for about a year now, as I was swapping the frame out. On the 1198 it is a little tricky getting the lower fairing off as the bar gets in the way, but it's doable.
Brilliant bit of kit - at present I am using it on a Velocette Venom - think you can use it on almost anything with the right fittings.
Hello, tossing up between one of these and a standard scissor bench. Looks like a good thing and allows for head bearing checks, swinging arm and suspension removal ect all without ratcheting bike from ceiling or putting blocks of wood under sump and its much smaller than a lift so ticks lots of boxes. The two things that make me think twice is that it doesn't seem to go up very high (saving my old back and knees is the main point of the exercise) and the clearance to that bar underneath is limited. I have a 959 with underbelly Akras and am concerned they'll limit movement or get dinged on it and/or not be removable when on the lift. Anyone got a Panigale with underbellies and experience of this lift? Also thoughts on the height issue?
I have one. It goes plenty high enough to sit on a stool and fettle to your hearts content in horizontal mode. Or use wheelie or stoppie if working on front or rear only. Not had my Pani on it yet but on my GSXR plenty of clearance. Much less on my s1000rr which has a large cat underneath. You could ring Abba and ask them - they are very helpful people.
I have a standard Abba stand with the additional arm to tie the rear down which fits on my scissor lift. Best of both worlds. Andy
Thanks all. Abba superbike stand with all the trimmings on a normal lift does seem a good hybrid idea, another couple of hundred notes and more junk in the garage but it's growing on me.
