1200 Abba Stand

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Daffy, Mar 23, 2014.

  1. I am about to take delivery of my new Pikes Peak (first Ducati too) and am starting to think about the things that I didn't know I needed such has head and radiator guards, wheel socket, C spanner for the chain ......

I am also thinking about a paddock stand and am drawn to the abba stand but I read somewhere that it doesn't work very well with the Multi as the foot pegs get in the way and you either have to tie them in the folded position or remove them - is this true?

Also does anyone have a view on the abba stand verses a conventional paddock stand (I know there are posts on this but as I am posting anyway I thought I would ask the question)

  2. Hi daffy,
If you get the correct fittings for the mts it works just fine. They are longer than usual to clear the riders pegs.
I also have the Front lift, which allows the front wheel to be lifted and removed.

I think it's a great stand, but have a read about the other stands recently discussed on here. A bit more pricy but allows the bike to be moved.

    Hope that helps

  3. Abba stand ordered so I am now waiting for delivery, thanks to John and Andy for their comments.

I eventually went for the Std Abba stand as I couldn't really justify the extra nearly £400 for the luxury so I guess I'll have to polish my front header whilst led on my back:D

Just waiting for the call to arrange collection of my brand new Pikes Peak, hopefully Saturday, the waiting is torture:)

  8. No it's not :D ............

  9. Looks a bit cheap and cheerful against Bursig or MFG stands...

  10. will that stand do most bikes or is it model specific?.

  11. Different adapter kits available for a very large range of bikes ;-)

@MJW61 ............what??!! Definitely not....and I've had the Bursig stand for direct comparison
