Bike all back together, so took out for a short shakedown ride. Wasn't really paying attention when I took off, but then noticed the "ABS ERR" warning ! Any thoughts or suggestions on what I should look at first ? By the way, I haven't "set anything up" yet (in terms of all the electronic aids)... Thanks in advance
Hi Andy Just all the plastics off it. Fitting rad guards, etc. Battery ran flat, if that plays any part....
In the first instance, I suspect the flat battery might be the cause. Get into the electronics and check the ABS setting. If that is not the case, I have a feeling there should be an error code. Andy
My thoughts entirely, Andy. Flat battery. I'm going to ride in the morning and see what's what... Thanks again
Well, 190 miles today without drama, but still the error message ! Wait until its first service. Doesn't appear to be detrimental.
the ABS unit has its own plus 12V power connection, maybe not connected to batterie, forgotten, have a look
there are originally at least 2 cables to battery plus one to the start relay and one to the ABS unit
Got you ! Battery was off and the connectors to the relays disconnected whilst the tracker was being fitted. Definitely something to check. Many thanks...
