The one main complaint i have for my 899 track bike is the brakes are pretty rubbish, especially when compared to my old 1199. I have done the usual bleed the system & change the pads which had very little difference. I then upgraded to M50's (with 1199 MC and discs) which is a lot better but still no 1199. After excessive googling I'm pretty sure its the ABS thats got to go (it is a track bike so not fussed). has anyone done this and is it just a case of new lines from MC to callipers and plugging ABS lines with a banjo bolt? Also, has anyone had the ECU breathed on? One member on here told me Moto Rapido put a super stock map on his and transformed the bike. I'm not unhappy with the bike as it is but just want it to be the best it can be and £400 odd for a map and dyno time doesn't sound unreasonable to me. Cheers in advance
I have some race brake lines for sale if you want them. You'll need the blanking plugs you can get off eBay Woolich racing can do an ecu map too the stock fuelling is guff. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263313232708?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 link to brake lines
Cheers but I need lines for an 1199 setup as have M50’s. Does blanking the ABS make a big difference? I live in Stamford so will let Mark at BSD tinker with the ECU.
