Abused Monster.....finds New Home!

  1. Howdo!

I have always wanted a Monster but having spent the worlds savings on my SL I couldn't really justify the extra bike..........however times change, moved house into the sticks its the only justification I needed to make it so!
Purchased the poor old M900 (Price was right), it's previous owner had some real technical ability and imagination to say the least.
So it's gonna get a little make over but no massive amount spent on it, just a reliable every day commuter.
Wish I had never sold all my SS goodies (Still have a set FCR's, Lightweight wheels, Battery and clutch master cylinder).
So currently removed the broken rear number plate holder - fitted a Monster Tail Chop.

Bike already had the rear of the frame cut down by previous owner with a spoon, cleaned that up abit (Noticed the later style seat catch doesn't fit correctly with the tail tidy bracket, has to be bent slightly).
Got meself a set of Spark oval cans from Germany along with a set of handlebars.
Just need to fit the FCRs and MWR filter.

  2. Lucky you to have kept the fcr's I wish I could afford some for my m900 build

What's with the strange red / black colour scheme? Are you going all one colour?

Building my monster this spring so will follow your thread with interest.

  3. Red and black is how it came! Rear section was all broken hanging on with few dodgy bolts. Front mudguard was bolts n tie wraps (changed it to my old SS one).
    Will be all blick.....eventually

  4. I saw this headline and thought my ex had found a new fella.
