1200 R Looking for switched power for after market heated grips. Read somewhere about power under a black cover on left side but cannot find links and info?
Pretty sure any spare switch power plug in the loom won't be up to the current required by heated grips. Either need to add a relay or wire direct. The Oxford grips come with a separate controller that time out if left on unintentionally. Andy
Ok Might go back to battery. Have now seen some neat Yamaha grips that wire direct. Built n switch and fairly neat wires. If I have to access the battery then can also connect direct for battery charger.
The Plug is there on the left side. it is blanked with a ducati logo plastic thing. just check behind the rubber cover on the left side of the frame. it is a 2 pin sumitomo male connector. if you can managed to find female of it, you are good to go. This connector also powered straight from the fuse box with 7amp rated fuse in place. I am using same for my usb connector. For the exact location of the connector just check this video starting from 2:18.
