What would be the best cleaner/solvent for removing ACF50 from chrome and alloy parts?I want to get an old mothballed bike clean and shiny for sale.It was covered in ACF50 before being stored. Thankyou.
Any degreaser wash, Bilt Hamber Surfex HD is good, can dilute as required. I use it at 50% to take chain fling off wheels/ ACF50 off in spring etc from a trigger spray bottle.
Normal washing with Sdoc100 cleaner seems to remove most things. If not, brake disc cleaner removes just about anything stubborn and won't damage chrome, alloy or paint. Not sure about plastics..
Leave it and use it as proof of correct storage and care, the prospective new owner will see how careful you are.
WD40 or any light oil-based spray will do the job easily and cheaper.Just spray it onto a rag and wipe.
