1200 Enduro Activate Ducati Aux Leds For My 17 Model

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Joshua, Jun 1, 2024.

  1. Hello to all...

I have seen a few threads about this already, I'm hoping I don't have to visit a stealer *cough* ... Dealer I mean... To activate my fog lamps.

I also need to reset my bike PIN as it's recently purchased used and the dealer I bought it from (not Ducati) didn't even know these bikes have pin codes... He asked the previous owner and they had no clue either, so I'm in need of both.

I'm London based ... Happy to travel an hour or two if any of you can help me!

  2. I believe the OBDStar can do both. I have one but I'm in York if you fancy a trip out.

  3. If the previous owner had no idea, the pin may still be 0000. Andy

  4. When I got my second hand 1260 in October it also needed a dealer to reset the PIN code. It was a matter of minutes for them to do it, and they didn't charge, possibly because they were doing the MOT at the time.
The dealer was Snells, in Alton, Hampshire. They are very good.
Give them a call on 01420 84480 and see if they'll charge you, and also about your spotlight activation.

  5. I have an OBDStar but am South Yorks area, looking at your profile you are LOndon? So likely a bit far to run out. There must be someone with a unit closer to you?

  6. Thanks chaps, York is a tad far for me, although you have far better roads up there! I'll keep my fingers crossed for somebody a bit more local! Tempted to get an OBD star unit, can you code new keys with them too?

  7. Thanks, I tried 0000,1234 & last 4 digits of the VIN with no luck

  8. Have an OBDStar and based in Cheltenham if that's any good? Depending on what side of London, that could fall within your 2 hr window... just.

Key activation, not sure about that. Would need to look that up on the capabilities spreadsheet. Can do that this evening.

  9. I'm SW London so that works! Id really appreciate the help activating the lights and resetting the PIN, will have to stock panniers with your favourite drink along the way :)

  10. I 'charged' someone round here one bottle of beer to reset their service light on a SuperSport but they bought me three. Perfect!

  11. OK, let me check the compatability sheet, though technically I'm sure that the Enduro is the same as the regular 1200 and 1260. I do know that the 1200DVT did lag behind the 1260 for a while but I think my OBDStar firmware covers both comprehensively.

Will PM you details in the morning. No need for beer, only if you insist...

  13. Thanks for adding clarity to the thread yes, have checked and the 1200 Enduro is on the list with what looks like a comprehensive range of features. Have been communicating with the OP via PM.

  14. Just an update for everybody who kindly replied to this thread and especially Bumpkin/Charlie who helped me out in priavte. I went ahead and ordered an OBDstar unit for myself and managed to get everything sorted.
I managed to get it for a very competitive price of £280 on ebay new. If anybody wants me to post where i got it, please just send me a DM or if posting links is ok i can add it if needed.

If anybody is looking for help with an OBDstar unit im based around SW london and so hopefully thats just another location that might help another member in the future.

    Joshua.
