I’m doing a track day soon on my 748 and was just wondering if it is worth me moving the head stock in to the race position? Does it change the bike that much or should I just leave it alone??
I'm fairly sure my dealer (and friend) set my 916 to that position when I started doing track days with him. I don't recall it feeling particularly different on the road later. And it was fine for the track. So I suspect it probably is worth doing (or I'm sure he wouldn't have done it. I didn't ask him to).
No, not unless you have a race swingarm and rocker too. Race swingarm is 19mm longer and rocker makes the suspension liniear in action. Leave on standard setting for standard swingarm.
