Hi, can someone please point me in the right direction? I want to fit a mono tail to a biposto bike (996S). What parts (brackets, etc) do I need (part references would be good!)?
Apart from the tail unit yourself you really don’t need anything else as you can reuse the fittings off the BP tail unit, just turn them round through 180 degrees. You may need a couple of spacers/collars but they’re readily available on Amazon. Sadly I’ve no photos of when I converted my 748 but I’m sure someone will be along with some shortly.
Prior to fitting a mono subframe I had a mono seat on biposto frame and you need a different mounting bracket with more offset for the latch pin due to the different height of the rear of the tail unit. Not sure now as it was a good few years ago but you maybe able to make up the difference with spacers?
