It is with much regret that the time has come where I need to sell my beloved 848. I am in my last year of military service and I need somewhere to live a touch more than I need a bike! My question is - is it better for me to sell my bike as completely standard and sell the accessories separately, or sell it as is with all goodies attached? The extras are; Termis, single seat cowl, R&G bar end protection, carbon fibre heel guards, exhaust guard and front mudguard, ventura luggage rack, Givi tankbag and tanklock system. It has had new rubber 600 miles ago. It is on 7700 miles and will need belts and valve clearance done. All advice gratefully received!
That's one for you to decide really.... general rule is you'll make more lf you sell the bike as standard and the bling seperate as it's dead money sat on the bike. On the other hand though it can make the bike more appealing to buyers and stand out above all the rest for sale. Not to mention give it the edge as a bargaining chip considering the belts/clearances which is a good £500 give or take. Choice is yours
TBH mate, if that were mine to sell, I'd probably take the luggage rack off as at the end of the day, it's a race / fast road bike and just say you have that stuff available at an extra price. You could get about £600 to £700 for the termis. I don't think I'd worry about taking them off as it's one of the first things on most people's list to go on the bike. It might be an idea to advertise the givi stuff separately. Good luck with the sale.
Hi there, Im interested in the luggage rack, please drop me a message if you intend to sell separately !
IMHO... I'd take the bits of and sell them separately... Anyone who buys the bike and wants a different exhaust, for example, can pick one up on eThief... I'd be interested to see what you want for the bike; not for me (I have a 2010 model), but my mate is toying with getting one... Good luck in civvy street...
Sell it with the Termis on anyone looking for a ducati would expect them to be on and they are a good selling point and take the rest off
