Advice Sought Re Obtaining Address/company History

  1. Morning all,

Anyone know how I can find out which companys are registered to my house and to who? (Company's House isn’t coming up with anything if I simply enter my address in the search bar)

I had three debt collector letters arrive on Saturday addressed to “The Co Sec” saying I had parking fines in Kensington & Chelsea (not been there in 20 years and more) that they’ve tried to contact me before (they haven’t) and that I owe them £128.

They have no details of my name or the car/reg it relates to on it (I know its not me as you’d have to pay me to go to Chelsea).

Currently been on hold for an hour and 20 minutes trying to speak to one of the tory rats, which I know they do deliberately so you put the phone down and they lash more fees on top.

    Help/any ideas please?!

  2. Tell em to fuck off would be my answer. Probably not that helpful.

Do you have a company name, you mention one above.

Otherwise may be a paid for Service, worth checking companies house website and see if you can email someone. Or if you know an accountant maybe they can search companies house with more detail than you can as a punter?

  3. Also, I found if you go on some sites like just eat or insurance quotes, when you select your address some have a coma py against the number so it comes up twice. Mine used to, and my neighbours comes up on Google map (by they aren’t limited just self employed)

If you have time may be worth trying a few of those types of sites

  5. The last time i did that (the debt was also unrelated to me) i had to volley a debt collector into the next door neighbours garden so trying to avoid this time if possible - just want to put a stop to it now as someone's clearly going about their business knowing full well i will be picking up the pieces the other end.

  6. Hmmmm

Return the letters marked up as not known at this address or some such?

Without you being provided with the details how can you contest it?

It may well be that there is a digit out from their side and they’re chasing the wrong person as you stated.

Is this for parking on private land or council?

  7. "Royal" Borough of Kensington & Chelsea :mask::mask::mask::mask: (not been anywhere near that over priced shithole in 20+ years)

I got through to them after an hour and 45 mins lol.

Seems i need to send them a copy of my latest council tax bill and water bill so they can "clear the address from their searches".

Obviously just did a companys house search, it came up with this address and they just attached it to my name without any explanation.

I actually have a nth orf a degree of sympathy for *some people who want to join the plod but there can be no excuse for working for a firm like this. You deserve every bit of misery life can throw at you and your family.

  8. Try Googleing your address followed by ‘companies house’ …
Any registered companies should come up
My wife had a company fraudulently set up in her name and it took over a year to get it sorted out

  10. Are you sure this isn't a scam?

    Are the debt collectors genuine?

Are you calling the number on the letter or Kensington & Chelsea parking dept directly.

I'd be cautions about sending anything sensitive to them until confirmed....

  11. I'd be delighted to send you the details you've requested, can you give me a purchase order number to cover the £25 administration fee involved.

  13. Alternatively try a subject access request to the data protection officer at the council asking for all details pertaining to your address. That may cost yu a tenner but I'd charge them expenses for any hassle you experience.

  14. 100% genuine, sadly.
Putting the company sec thing aside for a minute its legal for them to buy debt (this time from Chelsea and Kensington council), assign it to someone (me) from some random search on a company sight with no evidence its yours whatsoever, and keep harassing them until they're so sick with worry they pay five or six times what the original debt was worth.
Its utterly disgusting bully boy behaviour and the next one who tries it with me is getting their jaw spun with a 9 iron.
Utterly sick of them and "the system".

  15. Weirdly/ironically/co-incidentally i bought this subject up on another unrelated thread on here two or three weeks ago.

  16. As Bradders said tell them to fuck off!
and then call them c@nts for good measure.

  17. Unfortunately it seems that one of few thriving industries in this benighted and asset-stripped shell of a country is the security and enforcement sector coming up with ever more inventive ways to surveil, fine and extract money from people.

And as the police force has been virtually run down to a rump which can no longer fulfil its basic functions, I think we can expect more of the same in the coming years with those sort of utter bastard businesses being allowed to expand into private policing with happy shopper coppers being empowered to hand out penalty charge notices for low level criminal offences, from which, of course, they will take a cut.
