1098 Air Box Removal

  1. Is it necessary to remove the airbox in order to lift the frame off? And if so, what's the best way of getting the bugger off? Cheers

  2. Not sure but it's easy to get off, the box is fixed to the TB's the whole lot comes away as one assembly. There are 2 big "jubilee clips" holding the TB's into the rubber inlets, loosen these and prise it off. :upyeah:

  3. Ah ha. . . . Understood. Thanks!:sunglasses:

  4. As said above. Just be careful of a number of connectors to injectors and TPS connectors. They're a bitch to disconnect. Label them too if you haven't already.

Cover the inlets once removed with a latex glove or the like. Saves anything falling in.
