Air Scoops Kinda Cut Into Air Intakes 848

  1. Hopefully few extra ponies for free I seen the cut out thread on here, n thought I wanna force that air directly in there we will see ...i was planning on adding a 3d printed design to sit under the nose cone maybe later ..

  2. How does that affect running? Are there any flat spots due to bypassing the helmholz Chambers?

Can't get any worse than the flat spot you have as standard at bottom end , but no I don't have a flat spot I use a procom that alters the air temp so It rolls on nice ...it's not bn on a dyno as yet though so can only go by feel ..I beleive them chambers are only for noise restriction I'm not 100% I only know what I read .lol

  9. Not splitting hairs, but reading the article their primary use is/was to maximise intake-mass charge through natural-frequency resonance to match intake frequency. Looks like this is now not primary use - it's noise reduction. Interesting - a good example of a Helmholz resonator in use is the air cavity (inside body) of an acoustic guitar. /end nerd/
