1200 DVT Air Temp Sensor

  1. After fitting a sat nav bracket I’ve had an orange warning sign in the top left corner of the display where the T Air is there is just a series of dashes. While out today the orange sign went off and temp. displayed again albeit 20-30 degrees below actual temp. I did remove fairings to route the wiring.
So is there anything I could’ve done or is it buy a new sensor and fit it. Any suggestions appreciated.

  2. When you had the fairings off, did you remove or loose the front fairing (the one under the headlights with the Ducati badge)? The temp sensor is mounted to that piece. It's possible that the connector has come loose.

In front of the forks, near the triple clamp, under the headlights, there is a black panel held on with three screws, I believe. If you remove this panel, you may be able to fit your hand up far enough to reach the temp sensor. The sensor is in front of the oil cooler. If you can find the cable going to it, you could follow that until you reach the connector and make sure it's fully seated. It's pretty tight in there though.

It looks like the other end of that cable feeds directly into the main harness so it's unlikely to be anything in the wiring.
