Airbox Mod

  1. Haven't been out on it yet but ive drilled out the top of the airbox (looks like a recognized thing on the net) haven't drilled out the bottom (thought id leave that til ive got in on a dyno) - It starts - haven't been out on it yet....its freezing outside and its Friday night which would be asking for it for getting nicked.

    Anyone else done just the top?
     
  2. Thought about it but ended up putting a set of duc stacks on the old girl
     
  3. ill be doing that eventually - but, im guessing I need to have a set of stacks ready (if I chose to go down that route) for when it goes to the dyno.

    Gotta back it off on the spending at the moment as xmas is almost here and im only half way through my payback (I got the hyper on the condition that I tore the bathroom to pieces) - married life - nothing like it.
     
  4. What difference do the stacks make , is it more peak power or how it delivers the power ?
     
  5. CJS Racing mapped mine to 115bhp with stacks so don't want to take them off
     
  6. Sounds alot of bhp , but what i like about the hyper 1100 is the power comes from so low down , do the stacks take from one area and give it more peaky power

  8. Well - went out on it yesterday for a bit. Cant see any performance difference but then I was in town. Sounds a bit deeper, tiny bit smoother through the rev range, and also not as choppy in the 2 - 4k area. So, there you have it - nothing much really, slightly beneficial and its a couple of grams lighter!
