Hi I was wondering if someone could help. I’m trying to fit the akra baffles to my slip ons on my SFV4S. I want to see if they make much difference because they are crazy loud. Does anyone know which way the cheese grater fits into the belly silencer please ? Thanks guys
I’m thinking it drops into the silencer on the inlet side small end first. 50/ 50 I will probably be wrong lol

you are making me second guess an exhaust purchase! My SFV4 seems louder than my diavel which had a pipe!! I
thanks for the link but I got the akra baffles supplied with the exhaust. The right hand side is easy. Just drops in the end and secured with a grub screw. However the belly left hand exhaust you have to remove the end can and place between the link pipe and the silencer. Just can’t decide which way it should sit. Small end at the front or big end?
drop it into the silencer small end first so the large end sits in between the pipe and the silencer....
I have a full system and there were 3 baffles, two go into the exhaust and are half in with grub screws (1 either side) the other part which I think is in your pic goes in with the small end away from the exhaust, well that's how mine goes in.
That’s awesome thank you. Yes there is 3 bits in total. When you say small end away from the exhaust do you mean small end towards the back of the bike ? Like this picture below ?

Ah ok lol I might have to try both ways and see if there’s any difference. An arrow mark on the baffle showing forward would be useful !
As long as you have a decent spring puller there not to bad to get on and off. I’ve taken mine out now, sound better without them
Yeah they do sound nice. I had an old guy waving his walking stick at me the other day and shouting something! I couldn’t hear a thing he was saying but it was clear he didn’t like the Akrapovic. He must have been a termignoni fan lol! Did you find it much quieter with the baffles in ?
Tiny difference with them in vs out. I think your right, the old fart was a Termi fan boy! Is yours a SF or Pani?
SF mate. I have a 2017 Gsxr1000 as well so this is my comfy bike. Any longer than an hour on a sports bike these days does my back in lol.
I went from a Pani with akras to the SF, made the right choice but at full chat it does like a drink. Average 85 miles to a tank now before the light comes on You’ll enjoy it though, docile in traffic and a handful when you want it to be.
It appears you are right. I got a response from Ducati Preston who consulted their technicians. The pointy end goes into the down pipe and then the silencer slips on after. Just started the bike tonight and I have got to say they made cock all difference haha !!
