Had a great 4 days at almeria on the v4. Bike was awesome!. Managed a 1:47 so was chuffed and the high light of the trip was when the gear position sensor failed and I replaced it myself!!!! AND IT WORKED!!! Always carry a spare gear position sensor and a spare abs cable when on euros! And do not use Pirelli at almeria. The surface is too abrasive. Here’s a little bit of footage :
Nice, I bet it's physical around there though on a V4. I did 3 days on a Daytona 675 there and the bike was perfect for that track, you could really stretch it's legs and use the torque in between the fast corners in the middle of the circuit. That said, it's a fast run onto the back straight and it's a long straight
Once the v4 suspension is dialled in and you have a solid set of rearsets it’s lovely. I didn’t find it too demanding. The you can really use the power. It makes you smile in your helmet
Excellent! Not been for years and hankering to get back. Deffo next year, asap. I managed a 1.48.2 last time out but there was plenty left. Just needed a squeaky bum lap. It's a great track And you're right about tyres. That place eats tyres from what I remember...
tbf mate that’s a general theme! I ended up this year getting an R1, just got so sick of getting wasted on the straights and spending half a lap sat behind them in the corners
