Project is nearing completion. Bike comprehensively serviced (including fork seals and shim check)... and now making lots of noise! I'm super pleased with the end result. Beautiful bike! Many thanks to ChrisW on here for his assistance along the way.
I really liked it till I saw the Oberon stuff and the filler cap, gold is not my thing But each to their own as long as you like it mate that is all that matters.
Ps Do you want a spanner to tighten those loose nuts n bolts up, that's a mighty nasty rattle you have there
How many bolt holes on the 1198 cap? Oh and did you fit the tail tidy ? Was it easy enough and how did you do it ?
Oh excellent I have got the evotech one for my 848 looked at instructions online and it said about removing seat, then black side panels then rear body panel WTF Did you cut then re splice the wires for indicators and number plate bulb ?
nice bike. i still keep my eye open while driving past your office. are you still there in brighouse?
Looks great, I just brought a 1098 and wanted to do a red/black combo, was searching internet for ideas and just couldn't find one I really liked and I think I just found the formula.
I'm not 2 sure of the 2 colour fairing thing. Just looks different; kinda mix n match I guess.. But hey it's the exact reason we use the forum to get a different perspective on the machines we love! Good effort all the same pal
Yeah I came across the two colours by chance as in Mugello last year my fairings came off down the straight. A mate with the same bike had a big hole in the engine casing when his chain snapped so I borrowed his fairing and really liked the two colour. The photographer was upset he asked what colour my bike was so I told it started off black, then naked then red/black. I was his best friend.
