Random question I appreciate, but I think it's about time I upgraded my current Alpinestars supertech r boots (gp track design) Normally I'd just buy the same size as the ones I have, but I know alpinestars changed the size of the GP Pro gloves in the MKII and now they run ridiculously small by a couple of sizes Don't suppose anyone has gone from a previous year's version of supertech r boots to the newer 2017 designs? If so have they stayed the same sizing wise? Bloody Italians
Doesn't answer your question but... I've a few sets of Supertech R boots but I wouldn't buy them again. I quickly crash test everything and can tell you that do not offer the protection that they appear to. I now use Daytona GP and Daytona EVO 3 (with fully reinforced inners - as the GP boots) and can tell you that the A* boots are like floppy slippers by comparison to even the cheaper Daytona boots. If you value your feet and ankles (and the lost revenue you might expect if you break them) then seriously consider shelling out the extra for the Daytonas
The supertech R look great and I honestly believe are the most comfortable boots on the market. However I don’t think they’re made the best which isn’t ideal seeing as they’re nearly 400 notes. I’d probably cough up the extra and get Daytona’s. They are the safest boots you buy. I don’t really rate A stars stuff all that much. I’m not overly happy with the boots or gloves I’ve had for the price.
+1 on the Daytona's and if your not a fashion tart, Altberg, you can even have these made to measure.
