Alpinestars Supertech R Boots Sizing?

Discussion in 'Clothing, Gadgets & Equipment' started by suttz83, May 30, 2014.

  1. Afternoon,

    I'm about to order some of the Alpinestar Supertech R boots online but I'm after a little info on the sizes from people who have them.

    Did you find the size was spot on or came up slightly smaller/larger?

    The reason I ask is because my previous boots (Puma) came up a bit large so I had to change them for a size smaller than what I actually am. Are the alpinestar the same or spot on.

    Cheers
    Ben

  2. Although not the same model as above, my last two pairs of Alpinestars were sized 'American' which are smaller than UK sizes.

  3. I'm a size uk 11 shoe ands I think my supertech R's are a 46

    I'm pretty sure that's right

  4. Its a tricky one. My shoe size is 8 but when I tried the Supertechs on in the shop they only had an 8 and above. They were a bit of a push to get into them (mostly cos I'm not use to the inner shoe thingy) but when they were on they felt a touch, but only a touch on the large size. I would imaging these would stretch also with a bit of time.

    My Puma's are a tight fit which I prefer. I think it's better for feel and I find them really comfortable. My worry is that if I get the size down they may come too small.

    From a few websites I've seen;

    41 = 7-7.5
    42 = 8-8.5

  5. my shoe size is 8 and a 42 is a perfect fit.

  6. Same here, size 11 and my Supertech Rs are 46

  7. They probably feel less restrictive and therefore looser, I love mine.

  8. I usually take a size 8/42 in shoes but my AlpineStars are a 9/43.

    My suggestion would be to try a pair in a shop then order them on-line, if that's what you want to do :)

  9. White ones are worth 2 seconds a lap too! ;)

  10. I have a couple of pairs - they are the best boots ever. I am a 41 in Sidi or most other boots, but a 40 in Alpinestars and still have an insert in them. They grow quite a bit. I bought mine and they were tight, but they soften up quickly and are then like slippers.

    Super comfy. I have some Sidi Vortice as well but the AStars are more comfy, last far longer and have more feel on the pegs.

  11. The sizing is fine. They are the best boot I've had so far, which covers a lot of bootage. Not tried the Daytona fancy pants ones. 800 for boots??? Err, no ta.

  12. Going to order the 8's and see how they come. By the sounds if it they won't be far out if at all. Thanks for the input. Sounds like they are a good boot to buy.

  13. Size 12 here, size 47 alpinestars.

  14. Not sure this will help, but at Sidi 46, is claimed to be a UK 10.5, whereas A-Stars claim the 46 to be an 11. The A-stars are certainly roomier than the Sidi in my experience
