848 Alternative Switchgear Or Throttle Assembly?

  1. Hi all,

I'm fighting for space on the clip-ons for the 848.

I have fitted brembo RCS 20 master cylinder and I'm having trouble routing the throttle cables to allow for full brake lever travel without the throttle cables binding and causing a slow / very slow throttle return action.

I'm thinking either put on an alternative throttle, or move the master cylinder next to the throttle and put the run / kill switch on the inside of that. I've put on a 748 run / kill switch but it's still too wide to sit sung... So I'm thinking of a race style run / kill switch to free up some space??

I also want to put traction control up / down and pit lane limiter button for nemesis TCS on the left hand clip on, but again; I'm struggling for room with the standard left hand switch.

The bike is on the track and I don't see it going back on the road other than with day time MOT, so the only buttons I really need on the LHS are for the dash control / lap timer etc...

    Any advice much appreciated...

    Thanks,

    Bob

  2. Junk the left hand switchgear and mount the run kill switch on the left. Mount the tc Pod on the clutch lever handlebar bracket.

  3. I had thought of that, but then I'd ideally need to wire up the dash control / lap timer switches to something?

  4. Bike sport developments do a replacement switchgear for those controls.

  5. ok mate, many thanks... been looking at their web site now... Not cheap ;-) but may fit the bill; especially for the LHS...
They've a few ducati options and some Aprilia that may suit...
I'll have a look, and post back for info...

    Thanks,

    Bob
