Decided to try the Andreani cartridge route to improve the handling of Carole’s Diavel so I have a question. As the springs are supplied for the rider weight, do the fitting instructions include suggested base settings for preload, compression and damping ? I’ll get the kit fitted by the workshop but will be doing the setup myself and having a starting point would be useful. Andy
Not from what I remember with the Multistrada 1200, got mine fitted by http://www.reactivesuspension.com Nowt but a box and some dodgy Italian cartoons (I mean drawings, hmmm right 1st time...)if recollect right.
Straight forward to fit and supplied with springs to suit so long as they are advised of rider weights when ordered. Done a few of them and they work very well.
Have you looked at the Dave Moss videos? They're a good start, especially for static sag. In my opinion you've got to have a good understanding of what your shock/fork dampers are doing for the critical stuff. Not understanding it could end in tears
This is 2 years ago now and I eventually went for just a re-spring which worked very well but thank you for the pointer. Andy
