939 SP Annual Service

  1. My 939sp is coming up to its first annual service and just wondered if anyone on here has had one done yet and how much should I expect to pay?

  2. Call two or three dealers and compare charges :)

  3. Isn't it just an oil service?

Would've thought same price as the first 600 mile service?

  4. 1 and 1/2 hours plus oil and filter

  5. Oil change? do it yourself...will take about a half hour...keep the receipt for the oil and filter and mark down the mileage on the receipt. That way a future buyer of the bikes knows whats been added, what quality and when.

  6. That would void the warranty wouldn't it? I had mine serviced at the stealers for the first 2 years till the warranty was up now do it myself.
My last one there was £90

  7. I extra oil changes but keep taking it back for them to service for the warranty.

  8. Good call. I must confess im a bit more "steam in and do it yourself..." I got my z1000 at 9 months old with a year and a bit on the warranty and tore it apart as soon as i got home with it....ive not had a single issue with it since....but thats just me though...i did actually speak to Kawasaki when i transferred the warranty, told them what i was doing and they were ok with it but understandably wouldnt warranty anything that id messed with....
