Thought I had better drop in here and say hello having crossed over to the new experience of Ducati ownership. Been riding 30 years on a variety for bikes including some real sheds for despatching on as a yoof but more lately a diet of Kawasaki sports bikes till I finally decided to slow down a bit on top end and the last 6 years have been on a BMW R1150GS. When the time to change came I tried the new GS and the Ducati Multistrada and the Ducati won hands down as its a sportsbike in an adv frame and riding position so I got my speed and acceleration back again but with comfort Picked my 2013 Gran Tourismo up on Monday and already racked about 450 miles on it to try and get the feel and get used to quick steering and fork dive again ...as well as the superb engine once it gets spinning up I recognize a few names from other places on t'internet so be gentle with the Ducati n00b when he asks the obvious questions like "how much for a belt service "etc etc
Wondered if you would remember when I saw "El Toro" user name as part of the management on the forum a few days ago Yup, one and the same ..... not seen you on line for many years
I got bored with certain idiots and concentrated on other things. So how's things with you? Whatcha been doing for the past ten years?
Packed in the race track weekends, got divorced, got married again ...oops....usual stuff All the kids are now pretty much adults now so I spent the maintenance payment on a Ducati instead will be picking brains on here till I get used to the bike...... and finding how to cut down that fecking centerstand so it doesn't hit my heel anymore
No brains to pick here :Oldman: Think I was on visor down at one point years ago @Exige can fix you up with belts The locals are crazy so look out for them Me.... I'm the sane one :Clown::Muted:
